About Marin County Guide

Marin County Guide is an independent guide to Marin County, California. It is not run by the County of Marin or by any city or town government.

The site has two parts. The town guides describe each city, town and coastal community: where it is, how it is governed, and who to call for local services. The business directory lists local businesses by trade and by town.

How listings are handled

A business is published only after its name, address, phone number and website have been checked. A category page stays out of search results until it holds enough checked listings to be useful.

History

MarinCountyGuide.com first went online in 2004 as a business directory and visitors center for the county. After some years offline it came back in 2026, rebuilt from scratch as the guide you are reading now.
